Travian - Alliances & End Game

Alliances

The game is heavily geared towards cooperative play. In fact the only likely way to win the game is through cooperation with an alliance. It's nearly impossible for single players to win, but an alliance can (see End Game). Resources can be traded between players, and towns can be reinforced with another player's troops. An in-game alliance feature is also available, providing the main catalyst for strategic play within Travian; players join and fight together for mutual benefit. Within an alliance, players can view attack and defense information for all alliance members, and also benefit from improved communication tools such as mass alliance-wide in-game messages. Because the maximum number of members in an alliance is 60, 'wings' tend to form as an alliance develops. Being a wing entails having multiple sub-alliances, often with similar names, acting as one alliance. Wings may not fight and destroy each other due to the friendly fire rules. Towards the end of a round, different alliances often join together, resulting in larger coalitions (meta alliances) - other diplomatic agreements include Non Aggression Pacts.

End Game

Each Travian server ends with the "end game" sequence. For normal servers it begins after about 300 days, and for speed (3x) servers[1] it begins after about 100 days. After this time has elapsed the Natars, a race controlled by the computer, are released. As the players on the server begin to build the world wonders that they have to capture from the dreaded Natars, they meet resistance. They will, every 5 levels, attack the villages with wonders until level 95 when they will attack every new level. The first alliance that builds their wonder of the world to level 100 wins the server, which stops and restarts.

The Game

The player starts as a leader of a small village with two people. The village has one building, which is the main building, and around the village lie 18 fields each providing one of the resources iron, crop, clay, or lumber. Troops can be produced once a player has built a barracks and a rally point. More troops are available after the player has built an academy where troops are researched. These troops can either be used to attack villages, often in order to steal or raid resources, or to defend against Teuton, Roman or Gaul troops attacking. Once the player has fulfilled certain criteria, they can found other villages or conquer those of an enemy with a tribal leader.

The aim of the game is to increase population and to control as many villages as possible. After a certain amount of time, further buildings and concepts are introduced, namely the introduction of the wonders of the world. The game ends when a player has finished constructing the world wonder to level 100 in a Natar village.

Each player when joining an alliance, groups of players, earns points for raiding (thieving), attacking, and defending. These points make up an appropriate rank system, but also promote the alliance one is in.

There are three tribes, the Romans, the Gauls, and the Teutons. Each has their own characteristics and an appropriate style of play: the Romans having a balanced set of attributes, the Gauls being largely defensive, and the Teutons geared towards a more aggressive style.

Villages

To have a second village, a palace or residence level 10 and 2000 cultural points (500 for 3x speed servers) are needed. To obtain a subsequent village, a progressively increasing number of culture points are needed. They are gained by nearly almost all buildings other than the World Wonder. The higher the building level is, the higher the culture points it produces each day. Culture points can be seen in palaces or residences. After a palace or residence reaches level 10, three Settlers or an Administrator (Senator/Chief/Chieftain) can be trained.

The 3 Settlers will travel to an empty spot on the map and settle a new village for the realm. Settlers need minimum resources of 750 of each type.

An Administrator has the ability to conquer another player's village as long as it is not a capital. By speaking to the village's people, the Administrator can lower the allegiance of another player's villagers. After attacking roughly five times with an Administrator, the village will fall to the attacker's realm. The village's loyalty will not be lowered during a raid.

with a palace/residence level 10 you can create a new village and to make the village compatable you have to send settlers over to you new village and then you can build make train and improve all the things that you already have. some top players have over 10 villages!!!



Travian - The Intro

Travian is a German browser-based game developed by Travian Games GmbH[1] that is largely based on a predecessor game called Tribal Wars. In 2006, the game was ranked first in the "best browser-based game with over 10,000 players" category of the German website Travian Games. The game's developers drew roughly from Classical antiquity and particularly from the Roman Empire to create a predominantly militaristic real-time strategy. Along with two English versions, and the original German version, the game has been translated into 30 other languages[2][3], and today has just over 3 million players worldwide.[4] It is programmed in PHP and runs in the browser. It was the first game of its type to be playable through a mobile phone, using a java platform.[5]

What bonus you gain with every level of off/def?

For every upgrade for defense(armoury) or for attack(blacksmith),
one soldier gain 1.5% procents.

Example: an imperian which is upgraded at level 20 in blacksmith
will have the next power of attack:
70 + 70 * 30% (21 - the level 20 bonus in blacksmith) = 91.

The bonus from the hero it is added only for attack power of the troop
and it is not like a bonus from the blacksmith or the armoury.

Example: one imperian with level 20 in blacksmith, with a hero
with 20% attack bonus and with lvl 20 at offense from blacksmith:
70 + 70 * 30% (21 - bonus for level 20 in blacksmith)
+ 70 * 20% (14 - bonus from the hero) = 105
(the best attack on every unity of crop).

Where to put the Hero's points ?


First points we will added to offense or defense and
some to regeneration.
These depends how you want to make that hero, offensive
or defensive hero.

Do not put many points on offense or defense,
it is sufficient 2-3 levels (10-15 points).
These will help to pass over first period of the game.

Next levels you will added to Off-Bonus or Def-Bonus.
Why?

I will explain this in a small example.
We have 2 offensive heroes,
each of them with level 25 (125 point):

Hero 1 (Equites Caesaris) level 25:
Offense: 0 (+) 0
Defense: 100/130 (+) 0
Off-Bonus: 20% (+) 100
Def-Bonus: 0% (+) 0
Regeneration: 125/Day (+) 25

Hero 2 (Equites Caesaris) level 25:
Offense: 31350 (+) 100
Defense: 100/130 (+) 0
Off-Bonus: 0% (+) 0
Def-Bonus: 0% (+) 0
Regeneration: 125/Day (+) 25
Army of the player is 5000 Imperians and
1000 Equites Caesaris.

Hero 1: 6000 Imperians(5000 + 5000 * 20%) +
1200
Equites Caesaris(1000 + 1000 * 20%)
Hero 2: 5000 Imperians +
1000 Equites Caesaris
+ Hero power witch represents 175 Equites Caesaris.
We observe that in first case is much better,
with a 9000 crop army.
The difference will be bigger for some player
with a 60.000 crop army.

The same demonstration can be done for a defense army.

Travian Script: Introduction

Are you looking for some tools to help you manage your travian ?

I don't know about the tools, but there is another "tools" you can use to help you play Travian more efficient and easy :). The "tools" name: script

Yes, there are many script you can find from the internet.
You can start it by typing "script travian" in your google search.

The most famous and commonly used script are from UserScript.

I never recommended you to use the scripts with no risk at all.
It's ever stated in Travian rule that scripts are not allowed to use.
So, it's your decision to use the script from UserScript by your own risk.
Use it, take it as your own risk, and enjoy your game now.

How to find travian script in UserScript ?
Here is the steps :
  1. Enter the site: http://userscripts.org/
  2. After you arrive in that site, type "Travian" keyword in the search box
  3. You will be shown with many travian script there
  4. Choose your script by clicking on the script's name you want to use
To use or install your desire script, you must have GreaseMonkey add-on first.
This add-on only available for Mozilla Firefox (browser).
So, in another word, you can use script (UserScript) only if your browser is Mozilla Firefox.
Wanna download the GreaseMonkey for your Firefox ?
Follow this link : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748

After you install the GreaseMonkey,
repeat the step in (4 steps above), follow with this steps :
  1. After you have choose a script you wanna install, click on "Install this script" button on the right hand side of your window (black button)
  2. After that you will see new pop-up window with the "install" button there, click on that button to install
  3. Your script has been installed, then refresh your travian.
